As the COVID-19 situation is continually changing, MARAC wants to reassure you that we are committed to safely hosting a fully in-person meeting in Gettysburg on October 7-9, 2021. For those unable to attend the in-person meeting, selected content, including recordings of the plenary and luncheon talks, will be made available following the meeting.

With your health and safety at the forefront of our planning, MARAC will require all attendees to wear masks, even those fully vaccinated.  This requirement is in accordance with current CDC recommendations for counties with substantial or high transmission. For more information on the health and safety protocols currently in place at The Wyndham Gettysburg, please visit Wyndham Hotel Health and Safety Protocols

We are actively monitoring the situation and are prepared to adjust our policies for the conference as circumstances change.

Join MARAC at the Wyndham Gettysburg to explore the theme of "Sites of Memory." In 1863, Gettysburg was indelibly marked by the Civil War and was ultimately memorialized as the site of the Gettysburg Address. Today, it is the site of countless memorials dedicated to the memory of both Union and Confederate veterans. Sessions will explore archives as “sites of memory,” with particular emphasis on how archives are influenced by, or else are influencers in, emerging world events and technologies as well as how archives serve and adapt to the changing needs of our diverse users.
