50 for the Future

MARAC’s 50th Anniversary is an exciting milestone, and in celebrating MARAC's accomplishments, we are also looking forward to the future possibilities! We aspire to raise $50,000 to support another 50 years of MARAC.

Please consider making a contribution to MARAC’s 50 for the Future fundraising effort or participating in the Silent Auction at College Park. Your donation will bolster MARAC's Disaster Relief Fund and support Graduate Archival Education Scholarships. We are highlighting these particular funds because they are supported only through special donations and are always in demand. With your support, MARAC will continue to help the archival profession grow stronger, create a brighter future, and move forward together.

While $50,000 is a lofty goal, we can do it!  A monthly donation option is available, and all gifts will be gratefully acknowledged in the Mid-Atlantic Archivist

Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)

A QCD is a direct transfer of funds from your IRA custodian, payable to MARAC, a 501(c)(3) qualified organization. QCDs can be counted toward satisfying your required minimum distributions for the year, as long as certain rules are met. In addition to the benefit of giving to MARAC, the QCD will reduce your taxable income by the amount donated. Please contact your IRA’s custodian (where your IRA is held) for the step-by-step process to make a QCD.
